Community Engagement
The County and Chelsea are committed to open, inclusive and ongoing communication with the community throughout the planning and design processes for the site. The County and Chelsea prepared and implemented a coordinated outreach program to engage the community and stakeholders in the development of the community. This framework synchronized the engagement process with the project development process, allowing for public input to inform each planning task. Chelsea conducted the public engagement process related to the design of the site. Outreach included community meeting presentations, stakeholder interviews and public workshops focused on project design elements. The community also provided input on project development through the County’s process for the CPA and EIR.

Presentation and drop-in meeting where staff members were available through the end of the workshop to provide information. The workshop allowed interested parties to participate in multiple topic-based breakout groups to discuss the development.
